Purple Sticker Market Day

Purple Sticker Market Day

To help Canterbury after the earthquake, we have set up a Nelson Market fundraising stall in front of the food table area at the end of the restrooms facing Rebel Sport. You will notice red and black helium balloons donated by The Party Shop, and tablecloth, flags and banners donated from Nelson artist Linda Richards.

Donations may also be made through:

  • Red Cross: visit www.redcross.org.nz/donate
  • Salvation Army: 0800 53 00 00
  • ANZ: account 01-1839-0188939-00
  • National Bank: account 06-0869-0548507-00
  • Westpac: account 03-0207-0617331-00

Because of the urgent needs of Canterbury, next Saturday 5 March, from our the “Purple Sticker Market Day – when the Nelson Market turns Purple” – a fundraiser for Emily Sanson Rejouis’s charity ‘Kenbe La Foundation’ to help children suffering from the Haiti earthquake disaster, half of these donations will also go to the Red Cross for Canterbury.

Please wear purple clothing, hats, use purple tablecloths, stall decorations, next Saturday – whatever you can do to help turn the Nelson Market purple. You will be given a Purple Cake Day sticker to put on your stall to indicate you are pledging proceeds or a donation from the sale of an item. The Market office can also receive/receipt stallholder donations.

Many thanks for your support.
