100% silk scarf, hand-painted.
Description
The medium weight 100% silk has hand-rolled edges . A bright, soft splash of colour.
size: 40 x 160 cm
The scarf is hand-painted and while the dye is still damp, salt is sprinkled onto the fabric.
The salt draws the moisture to itself leaving behind a concentrated pattern of dye.
Once dried, the scarf is steamed for 2 – 3 hours. Steaming creates permanent, vibrant colour.
Care: Warm hand-wash using wool wash. Rinse in a small amount of fabric softener, (optional). spin in washing machine or air dry.
Iron using silk/wool setting.
