I love making something and have a wide range of interest, so I use a lot of different types of materials, such as clay, Japanese traditional washi-paper, glass, etc.
I usually take part in the Nelson Saturday Market every week to sell my items.
My items listed on this site are very limited and I sell a wide variety of items at the stall. If you have a chance to visit Nelson, please drop in at my stall at the Saturday Market to have a look at plenty of unique and beautiful items.
My brand name is “BENIYA”. This comes from the name of the cosmetic shop used to be run by my grandmother and mother over two generations in Japan. “BENI” means vivid red or lipsticks in Japanese and “YA” means shop. I would like to use this beautiful shop name as my brand name in New Zealand.
