About UsHi, I’m Brigitta and I’m the founder of Living Greens Microgreens.
After living in Austria for several years I became very accustomed to having affordable and accessible organic produce at my fingertips. I fell in love with their traditions surrounding food and the general wholesome style of eating.
Microgreens are commonly used day to day, especially during “brotzeit” which usually takes place in the evening as a light alternative to dinner. The table is laid with a delicious loaf of farmers bread, several home made spreads and fresh vegetables like radish or red pepper. These are sliced and shared to build your own creation, and always finished off with a generous sprinkle of greens.

After looking into Microgreens a little more, their nutritional benefits absolutely amazed me. They really are natures living superfood! Upon moving back home to New Zealand I really struggled to find good quality, organic greens that weren’t packaged in a whole lot of unnecessary plastic or grown in a way that wasn’t kind to our environment.

After seeing some countertop gardening systems overseas I began developing my own Microgreens Growing Kit with the hope to make highly nutritious food available to anyone, especially those short on time or with a limited garden space. The design is simple and fits nicely into any kitchen.
I hope to help people who wouldn’t normally grow their own food discover the thrill of gardening and to give people who value healthy nutritious food a very simple way of accessing it. Thank you for joining me on this journey, it means a lot!
