Native Bush Honey
$10.00 – $35.00
Native Bush Honey has a buttery texture with a beautifully sweet “lip-smacking” clean taste.
Not too sweet, with a mild, well-rounded flavour, this honey is a real family favourite.
An eclectic blend of native New Zealand florals, including Beech Honeydew, Mānuka, Kānuka, Kamahi, Five Finger, Hinau and Lotus, creates a honey that captures the very essence of a bushwalk in New Zealand.
Native Bush Honey has a buttery texture with a beautifully sweet “lip-smacking” clean taste. An aroma that is pleasant, fragrant and appealing.
A smooth honey with a buttery texture — just perfect for spreading. We affectionately call this one our goldilocks honey, because everyone agrees — it is just right.
Just like the cheeky fantails that flit through our native bush, this honey is quite a character.
Floral and aromatic, with earthy hints of fresh rainwater. Sourced from the stunning waterways of the Marlborough Sounds and the beautiful Mt. Richmond Forest Park.

Mountain Valley Honey (MVH) was founded many years ago in the foothills of the Mt Arthur Range. Nelson-based couple Murray and Nicky Elwood were already producing honey but wanted to expand the vision of their business, whilst the previous owner of MVH was looking at retirement.
Both businesses were a perfect fit. Murray and Nicky took over MVH in 2007, and have since developed the brand to incorporate all they love about bees and honey.
During that time, our hive numbers have grown a little, and the areas we travel to tend to our hives have expanded.
Working in remote locations means we are away from pesticides and the “busy-ness” of towns, allowing plenty of natural foraging for the bees.
We work in the beautiful mountains, deep valleys, and stunning seaside sounds of the top of the South Island of New Zealand – and we get to work alongside the incredible people who live in those areas. We are in awe of the beauty that is “our office.”
Our hives are cared for by our fantastic, tight-knit team. They are great people who are fun to work with, good at what they do, and very much appreciated.
Being able to harvest, extract, pack and distribute means we are hands on with our product all the way through, enabling us to deliver the best we can to the customer.
Mountain Valley Honey is strongly committed to protecting customer privacy online and we do not sell data we collect to any third party. All data we collect is for the sole purpose of providing an amazing product and service to all honey lovers.
